Violet Potpourri
- 1 qt. Violet blossoms
- 2 tbsps. salt
- 1/2 oz. powdered orris root
- 1 oz. powdered benzoin gum
- 1 c. or rose petals
- 2 oz. deodorized cognac
Crush violet petals tightly into a quart Mason jar. Add the remaining ingredients. Stir well and store with a tight lid. It will take a few
weeks to settle. If you use dried flowers, your mix will be ready to use.
