How to Make Finger Paints
Items Needed:
- 1 cup flour, 2 Tbs. of salt, 1 1/2 cup cold water,
- 1 1/4 cup hot water, food coloring, Freezer paper
- ( paint on shiny side )
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt, and cold water in a saucepan. beat with a wire
whisk until smooth.
2. Heat the mixture over medium heat. Slowly stir in hot water.
3. Continue stirring until mixture boils and begins to thicken.
Remove from heat.
4. beat with a whisk until smooth.
5. Divide the mixture into several different containers.
Add 4-5 drops of food coloring to each container and stir
Method 2
- ½ c Cornstarch
- 1 pk Unflavoured gelatin
- Food colour or poster paint
- Water
In a bowl, mix ¾ cup cold water with the cornstarch to make a paste. Soak the gelatin in ¼ cup cold water; set aside. In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to boil and add the cornstarch mixture slowly to it. Stir well. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until the mixture comes to a boil and clears. Remove from the heat and stir in the gelatin. Cool and divide into several jars. Add the food colour and blend.
